Pre-mixed Smoothie mixes

Smoothies are a great way to start the day or even to have during the day! They can also be quick if you prepare the ingredients in advance and add to a smoothie.

Tips for preparing smoothie ingredients:

  1. Chop your Fruit and place into freezer safe bags. This way you have individual servings ready to go. Your fruit also stays fresh which means less wastage. It saves time and also adds to a really nice thick and cold smoothie!
  2. I like to slice my bananas up and package them separately to the other fruit, this way if I have fresh fruit to use, I can just add the frozen banana.
  3. I have a Gogo Blender, which is a small smoothie maker with a 500ml jug. To it, I add my liquid first, then my yogurt, then my powder, then the fruit and lastly I normally add a bit more liquid so that when I turn it upside down and insert it into the maker, the blender doesn’t get stuck.

There are many smoothie mixes on the market but I found none contain all the ingredients together that I love and get the most benefit from which is why I have formulated my own smoothie mix that I have been using for a few years now. It provides antioxidants, protein, fiber, and other important minerals and vitamins needed.

The plain mix contains:

  • Psyllium husk powder
  • Flax seed (linseed Powder)
  • Hemp powder
  • cinnamon
  • raw cacao powder
  • Chia seeds

The Superfood mix contains:

  • Psyllium husk powder

You can choose between plain or berry mix and three sizes are available: 5 servings, 10 servings or 14 servings. There are also two type of packaging -a Jar which you can bring back for a refill and save R5 on the small jar and R10 on the big jar for your next order. Or a pouch (future pouches will be ziplock )
